Finally, after retirement, no one was going to stop him and he did it. His stories made it sound enticing, so when my friend Fay came out from London, we hiked it ourselves. The panoramic view is incredible up there. However, from Tuolomne Meadows, Lembert Dome stands out majestically and commands your attention and deserves respect. I tried to capture its dominance in the landscape and the warmth of the late afternoon sun on it.
